AAR to Showcase Supply Chain Innovation at MRO Europe

Company executives to share expertise on panels about supply chain solutions and optimizing inventory management and repair

LONDON, October 12, 2015 – AAR, an industry-leading provider of aviation services to commercial airlines, OEMs and governments will showcase its supply chain and component repair operations based in Europe, as well as its award-winning MRO network, during Aviation Week’s 2015 MRO Europe conference October 13-15.

AAR in Europe
AAR’s business unit leaders will be available at Booth #526 to speak to reporters and customers about the Company’s global supply chain network, including the newest hub in Brussels that provides AOG and power-by-the-hour support for airlines in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

AAR’s supply chain services include a component repair facility in Amsterdam and Airinmar, an inventory support and repair management subsidiary based in Berkshire, England. Airinmar recently signed a three-year deal with ExpressJet, a subsidiary of SkyWest Inc., to manage component repairs for its fleet of more than 300 regional aircraft. AAR also has entered an agreement with MTU Maintenance, one of the top five engine MRO service providers worldwide, to supply used material for PW2000 engines over the next five years from its facility in Hannover, Germany, to streamline and improve turn times for shop visits.

AAR’s other supply chain hubs are located in Chicago and Singapore. The Company serves customers in more than 100 countries from sales and service locations in the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia and Abu Dhabi.

Reporters and editors are encouraged to stop by or schedule interviews in advance to learn more about AAR’s future outlook and 60 years of serving the aviation aftermarket. AAR recently sold off its cargo business earlier to focus on its industry-leading aviation services. The subsequent integration of its MRO and supply chain groups under its Aviation Services segment will allow AAR to provide customers even more value with a full menu of offerings from a single source, as well as bundled solutions for total support.

AAR executives will be participating in the following panel discussions:

On October 14:

Paul Richardson, Vice President, Supply Chain, and head of AAR’s European office, will participate in the panel "Engineering and Maintenance: Leveraging the Surplus Market to Reduce Costs" at 10:15 a.m., which explores parting out solutions and what types of business models airlines have in place.

Then at 10:45 a.m., AAR’s Andy Schmidt, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, will join "Supply Chain and Logistics: Effective and Efficient Inventory Strategies." Panelists will discuss inventory management solutions and optimization, and assess airlines’ overall management of inventory and repair against total care programs.

AAR executives in charge of operations in the U.S., Paris, and the UK will be in attendance:

Paul Richardson, Vice President and General Manager, Supply Chain, EMEA (London)
Chris Jessup, Chief Commercial Officer, Aviation Services Group (U.S.)
Pascal Parant, Vice President of Marketing (Paris)
Sal Marino, Senior Vice President, Parts Supply
