AAR Voted Best Airframe MRO Provider in the Americas
ATE&M magazine honors industry’s top suppliers in London
WOOD DALE, Illinois – AAR (NYSE: AIR) was voted by customers as Best Airframe MRO Provider — The Americas, receiving the honor at an annual Aircraft Engineering, Technology and Maintenance (ATE&M) Awards gala in London.
The ATE&M awards are given to the industry’s best suppliers, nominated by aviation industry professionals. AAR’s Aircraft Services division operates Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities in Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Miami, employs more than 2,800 airframe and sheet metal mechanics, technicians, trainers, managers and support personnel.
“To be selected by customers for this recognition is a great honor,” said Dany Kleiman, Group Vice President of AAR’s MRO operations. “AAR has become the largest independent provider of aircraft maintenance in the U.S. and to be recognized as the best reflects the hard work and dedication of our team — from the front offices to the back shops.”
Kleiman’ s vision for the MRO organization is to build on AAR’s track record of safety and performance by combining diverse services into a unified offering for airline customers, regardless of where they operate. This is the foundation of AAR’s 1MRO initiative — to be a single source for customers’ MRO requirements and to provide the same high levels of service, regardless of which AAR location is performing the work.
Accepting the award for AAR at the London ceremony, attended by more than 500 industry executives, was Patrick F. Aherne, General Manager and Senior Vice President for AAR, based in London.
The award is the latest industry honor earned by AAR, which was recently named Parts Supplier of the Year and One of the Top Five MROs in the world by Airline Economics magazine, based on votes from more than 11,000 senior-level aviation and investment executives.
