WOOD DALE, Ill., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AAR (NYSE: AIR) today announced that it has entered into a joint venture with Malaysian aircraft maintenance provider, AIROD, to strengthen AAR's presence in Asia and better serve commercial airline customers.
At a signing ceremony in Miami, Florida on Sunday, January 23, AAR International, Inc., a subsidiary of AAR CORP., and AIROD formally entered into a joint venture to establish a landing gear repair and overhaul facility in Malaysia, expected to be operational by mid 2005. In attendance at the ceremony were Tan Sri Ahmad Johan, President of AIROD, and The Honorable Dato' Sri Chan Kong Choy, Malaysia's Minister of Transport.
"We're pleased to formally establish this joint venture with AIROD and honored that Transport Minister Dato' Sri Chan Kong Choy joined us for this momentous occasion," said David P.
