Biography
Sharon Purnell is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR), a leading aviation services provider to commercial and government customers worldwide.
Purnell oversees AAR’s global Human Resources department, including its recruitment, talent management, and engagement initiatives. Known for building trust, she coaches and partners at all levels to achieve positive results.
With more than 20 years of experience, Purnell held various senior leadership positions prior to joining AAR, including Chief Human Resources Officer for Stepan Company and Streamland Media. She also brings people leadership experience from Riddell Sports, Underwriters Laboratories, Honeywell Aerospace, and General Electric Company. Throughout her career, she has overseen the integration of multiple companies, optimized employee benefit programs, and led development and retention efforts.
Purnell earned a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Avila University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Public Relations from Lee University.
